After completing school from Scindia School, Gwalior, Mridula has taken a Commerce degree followed by a degree in Journalism, Additional BA in English Literature and Diploma in Advertising and Public Relations from Symbiosis School of Management, Pune.

While working as a freelance Editor of Times Offspring Pune, (an initiative of The Times of India) she also wrote articles and features for The Times of India and Pune Times. Times Offspring was a fortnightly meant for the students’ community. Her journalistic career spans more than 20 years with a varied experience at several leading English dailies of India.
